The site is an inner city residential area consisting of dilapidated 1960's high rise flats. The project consists of the demolition of the existing buildings, and their replacement with residential units consisting of both private and affordable housing.

 

We were commissioned to undertake baseline monitoring for landfill gas, noise, vibration and air quality prior to the commencement of demolition/construction activities. The landfill gas data was utilised for the design of protective elements to be incorporated into the development, with the noise, vibration and air data used to agree construction limits with the planning authority. Ongoing monitoring is being undertaken during construction to ensure contractor compliance with the agreed targets.
