Building surveying covers a series of sub-disciplines from building surveys to the resolution of landlord/tenant disputes. Our team has experience in all the surveying disciplines and is currently advising clients throughout the United Kingdom. The GC Partnership team are particularly skilled in the specification of maintenance works and construction monitoring.

condition surveys

The Environment Agency were to carry out significant sea defence works close to 27 architect designed residential properties. Our surveying team was commissioned to carry out detailed pre and post works conditions surveys. GC Partnership will also be able to provide the new 'Home Information' packs that new legislation will require all vendors of domestic properties to provide as of June 2007.

conservation

GC Partnership are appointed conservation surveyors on this Grade I listed building currently used as a hospice. The commission covers the full range of cyclical surveys, repairs, maintenance, refurbishment and upgrades of the external and operational areas of the building.

construction monitoring

This Grade II listed abbey was being completely refurbished for B1 office use. Our surveying team were commissioned to monitor construction quality and adherence to English Heritage requirements on behalf of the ingoing tenant.

nursing homes

GC Partnership were originally commissioned to prepare a specification for the conversion of this Grade II listed building to a nursing home. The commission was then extended to include the design and construction of a new wing providing care for severely disabled patients.

specification and contract administration

Our surveying team were commissioned to compile the specifications, obtain tenders, supervise the works and administer the contract for the internal refurbishment of this 12 storey office building constructed in the mid 1960's. The works also included extensive lift refurbishment and lighting upgrades.
