Architecture

Architectural design is one of GC Partnership's core disciplines and our design team has developed significant expertise and flair across a diverse range of sectors and projects.

We believe the key is to fully understand the client's needs at the formative stage of the project, convert those needs into the principles of the design and then develop the design to completely fulfil the client's operational and aesthetic aspirations.

community centre and general practice surgery

The client required a suitable, energy efficient design. We achieved this by as much use of natural materials as possible, highly insulated external walls and photo-voltaic technology to generate power. The building was shortlisted in the 2005 Kent Design Awards, Public Buildings category.

social housing

GC Partnership were commissioned to carry out a series of asset reviews on existing social housing schemes. From these we developed proposals to increase the number of dwellings and enhance asset value by an innovative approach to extension and refurbishment.

visitor centre

Innovative and functional with clear internal views reflecting the client's 'state of the art' production facility. The facility processes up to 500 visitors a day onto the campus.

primary school

The use of advanced 3D modelling software enabled us to fully illustrate the architectural style and internal of our competition entry.

solvent storage facility

Despite the industrial nature of the building, the client required an elegant approach to architectural design due to its prominent location next to a busy main road. We achieved this by the use of a sweeping curved roof and exposed circular castellated preformed steelwork.
