The project relates to the new build construction of a single storey four classroom block with library, music room and associated storage and wc facilities. GC Partnership were appointed for the structural and building services design with Clague as the architects. External works consisted of paved areas and drainage which included a new soakaway, a compact pumping station and linear drainage. Foundations consisted of mass concrete strip footings supporting masonry cavity walls and hollow core beam & block floors. The roof construction was timber I joists with interlinking mono pitches and a 900mm overhang.

The building was provided with high efficiency condensing boilers and underfloor heating systems. Close dialogue with the school was required with regards to the communications and data interfaces enabling a smooth handover and integration with the existing systems elsewhere within the school.
