TThe Scout Hut project comprised a geo-environmental investigation of a site located within the Parham Road Development area in Canterbury, Kent. We were commissioned to assist the builder and developer prior to the construction phase of the project in the discharge of the environmental planning constraints and also to provide data for the cost effective design of foundations. This was achieved by:

  1. Undertaking a baseline study within and around the area for noise;
  2. Designing a ground investigation to suit the proposed development;
  3. Phase 1 Desk Study and Walkover Survey;
  4. Window SamplingSoil Gas and Groundwater Monitoring;
  5. Geotechnical and Analytical Laboratory Testing;
  6. Full interpretative report which included a phase 2 Qualitative risk assessment to
    address conditions on planning related to contaminated land;
  7. Recommendations on foundation and ground floor slab design
