GC Partnership has been commissioned to undertake platform extension works associated with the North London Rail Infrastructure Project.

The works are required to accommodate the introduction of new and extended length rolling stock onto the London Overground Network.

The majority of the 18 affected stations require the renewal of currently redundant platform surfaces. This section of the rail network had previously fallen into disrepair with reduced passenger usage and a reduction in train lengths. The neglected redundant sections of platforms will be resurfaced to accommodate the new four car passenger trains with new cable ducting provided to serve new signalling and platform services such as CCTV, Help Points and enhanced lighting.

Those stations with shorter existing platforms will be extended in length to accommodate the new four car passenger trains.
