The project relates to the construction of new Retail Units on the existing Piazza in front of Euston Station.

The requirement was to create a lightweight building to sit on the existing Piazza which is also the roof to the underground car parks at the station. A very economical design was also required to enable the Client to recuperate the project costs through rental income over a design life of possibly only 6 years prior to the proposed demolition as part of the 2014 Euston Station Redevelopment.

The design was developed to enable the construction period to be reduced to only 10 weeks to minimise disruption and maximise rental income over the short design life.

The prominent location of the building also required a clean minimalist design to avoid competing with the main station façade.
