Harts Farm Way Teardrop

Sector: Infrastructure

Service: Civil Engineering

Client:South East England Development Agency
SEEDA Engineering Consultancy Framework

Project Value: £3,500,000

Project Status: Complete

The project relates to a major redevelopment and regeneration exercise being undertaken in Southmoor Park by SEEDA in Havant, Hampshire. Redevelopment proposals would have meant that the existing roundabout junction off the A27 motorway would be unsuitable to sustain the new proposals. As such, we undertook the design and construction management of the traffic signalised gyratory. Some of the unique aspects
of this project related to the environmental issues such as the adjacent Brent Geese feeding area and the underlying strata being landfill. Our geotechnical engineers devised a “load transfer platform” for the junction and over 200 cfa piles were used during the construction.
