FD Copeland & Sons appointed GC Partnership to undertake the Architectural, Mechanical & Electrical and Process design for the relocation of their existing business operation into new premises in Woolwich south East London. The project relates to the extension and specialist fit out of a recently refurbished industrial buildings and the decommissioning/removal/strip out and reuse or disposal of existing and associated equipment and facilities within Units occupied adjacent to FD Copeland's existing offices. The newly refurbished building was an open storage area with part mezzanine office area over welfare facilities. The new works consisted of the Installation of a new galvanized Steel Mezzanine Floor and the relocation of thirteen storage vessels along with the installation of new orbitally welded Stainless Steel distribution pipework and associated pump and control systems. A new QC Laboratory design and fit out was part the GC Partnership Scope this was developed and executed working closely with the client team. The new facility is used for the storage and blending of citrus and mint oils together with associated office, laboratory and staff welfare facilities. Goods inward and outward are from articulated HGVs and accordingly a loading bay/dock has been constructed in the form of a new extension to the building. |
