Commissioned to assist the developer of a three storey block of apartments prior to the construction phase of the project in the discharge of the environmental planning constraints and also to provide data for the cost effective design of foundations and retaining walls. This was achieved by:

  1. Designing a ground investigation to suit the proposed development;
  2. Phase 1 Desk Study and Walkover Survey;
  3. Cable Percussion Drilling;
  4. Window Sampling;
  5. Soil Gas and Groundwater Monitoring;
  6. Geotechnical and Analytical laboratory testing of samples recovered from the window sample holes
  7. Full interpretative report which included a phase 2 Qualitative risk assessment to address conditions on planning related to contaminated land
  8. P20 Quantitative Groundwater Risk Assessment
  9. Recommendations on foundation and ground floor slab design;
  10. Provision of parameters for use in retaining wall design
  11. Recommendations on the design of soakaways.
